Plaintiff is a 36-year-old male who was driving straight when the defendant, who was driving a commercial truck, made a right turn into the plaintiff’s driver’s side front quarter panel. Defendant claimed that the plaintiff was driving at a high rate of speed and swerved around traffic and crashed into his truck. Plaintiff suffered from various herniated and bulging lumbar discs that ultimately required a laminectomy with partial facetectomy, discectomy, and foraminotomy of levels L5-S1 and foraminotomy of levels S1-S2 in addition to a lumbar endoscopic discectomy surgery of levels L4-L5 and L5-S1.
